thats what makes it different.
go anywhere in the UK and it looks the same...different trees and shrubs maybe, but still the same scenery.

Yes. I was amazed when I first found out about it around 30 years ago. My best mate was a contractor working on rig building in Loch Carron and showed us photos he had taken of the area round Plockton.

Same in Tenby. Palm trees and exotic plants.

Beautiful if you can see them through the heavy mist and damp weather.

not been but if is is as per the rest of Blighty do not forget the rip off fuel prices to get there, entrance fees and above all exhorbitant parking charges ooooh nearly forgot the traffic jams somewhere en route.

Almost three months since we crossed the channel now and not incurred a single parking charge and no we do not use the supermarket carpark except when in the said supermarket .

Do not get me completely wrong as I agree much of Britain used to be and some is still stunning

My brother lives in Glendaruel, in Argyllshire, west coast, hardly ever gets snow, but it gets really bad frosts, :thumb:
