Shamelessly looking here for advice as I know we have a lot of tech minded people amongst us.

I produce drawings and lists of steelwork for clients and when I send them out some people are managing to open the files and some people are not.

The files are in .xsr format and all clients are using windows of some form of another but certain computers won't open it.

What can I download on to the computers that can't open this file to allow them to do so?

Saves me having to convert all the files to a .pdf which they have asked for previously.

Any help appreciated as I struggle with formats and stuff like this.

I’m sure you‘ve found out but you need a compatible program that can open/view .xsr files. As this is a closed format they’re going to be few and far between.

No help to you I know but if I was a client I’d expect a common format file, like a PDF so I could view the file.

My wife produces digital artwork that can only be opened in the program she uses, anything she needs to send to someone she always exports to a common format (.jpeg etc).
