not long at all
Are you a motorhome friendly waver or a motorhome scowler as I have noticed that since we have had ours, other motorhomers seem to a...wave and smile....or b... scowl and ignore.

So.....what do you do??

Wave I do unless I'm constantrating on my driving

Mrs t says they won't wave

Some do some don't :thumb::thumb

We always waive and pass comment at those that don't....same as when I'm on the bike...I always nod to fellow riders but some are too stuck up to reply...

We wave on single carriageways, sometimes on dual/motorway, but they are then too far away to see.
Mostly don't wave at PVCs but thats only because they don't usually look like motorhomes. Sometimes wave at small buses by mistake.
About 50/50 wave back, even the French wave sometimes.

I waved at a couple of motorhomes today but the miserable bu88ers ignored me:cry:...............

...............just 'cos I was driving the car:Doh:

I wave, quickly replaced by the finger if they don't.

Keeps me happy:thumb:

Neither - I'm usually concentrating on driving.

Waving?

Why?

Pointless with multi-makes and models.

Sensible for single makes like Beetles/Type 2's or 2CV's etc

We're wavers, when the kids were little, we'd have a giggle and they'd all wave like mad at every motorhome. Even now, its rare not to have a wave not returned and when motorhomes pass close the smiles are wide too.

We wave, usually whoever is the passenger, does the waving and commenting on returned wave or lack of it. :thumb:

We wave, not only at motorhomes but horseboxes, small buses, white vans or anything else that looks as though it could be a motorhome. We have to surpress the urge to wave when we are in the car!

I wave if its safe to do so, but I have had people waving at very inappropriate times, exiting round abouts, blind bends etc. :Eeek:

Well I am happy to say there are more of us happy wavers than there are grumpy scowlers or so it seems .

Keep voting people!!!

Why do you presume that the alternative to being a 'happy waver' is to be grumpy and scowl? This suggests a pejorative judgement that must be hard to substantiate.
I could just as easily refer to 'manic gesticulators' to describe the antics of some who try and attract attention across six lanes of a motorway.
Perhaps your poll should have included the option to select a middle-ground answer such as 'It's not a big issue for me so I tend not to bother'.

p.s. I do occasionally wave to local camping caristes in France in the spirit of entente cordiale, since I am a visitor in their country; and I have been known to flash a motorhome that is the same type as mine - but then I'm that oft-derided species, the Hymer Driver.

I wave at anyone not flying a flag...why would you want to?

spud was waving like a mad woman today at a couple in an autotrail about 5 yards away at some traffic lights, who just gave her a funny look, "they were a bit sad" she says, "we're in the car love" i replied

'mon you wavers......

We wave.... the folks who don't wave we usually say "They're on their way home - not happy"

Join the club....they think I'm an MPV or mobility taxi....never had a motorhome wave back

So, to save energy, my full-on wave has largely turned into a rest-palm-on-top-of-steering-wheel-and-open-fingers half-hearted gesture

The day someone waves back, I'll probably drive off the road in shock!

We always wave ….. (even to the poor unfortunates that don’t have Auto-Sleeper Models :Rofl1:) …. And backed-up with a sprung “Waving Hand” on the dashboard ….. Lost my “street-cred” years ago :BigGrin:
deckie

I sort of give a "half" wave as most of the time, people just don't.

The other thing I've noticed is that due to the overhang (on both overcabs and a lot of low pros) you can't actually see into the Cab so can't see if they wave or not.

Do the 'wavers' also salute the RAC / AA man ?

just about as daft .. personally can't see the point in it .

I think the OP got the survey question spot on, you are one or the other. :Rofl1:
