And here is the IVECO daily chassis for anybody remotely interested in these things🤔

In the foreground is the Telma retarder, a big and heavy chunk to be fair and it does force you into the 200 litre fuel tank upgrade as otherwise you end up with just 70 litres, In the distance you can see how the floor and dashboard is all raised up over the engine and gearbox to give a flat floor right through the van, this is a fair bit of work so all adds to the overall conversion cost.
Telma retarders are worth every Penny , drive if for a few weeks and you wouldn’t want to give it up👍

Although I probably already know the answer, (ie, you need to be seriously financially loaded), but how are we DIY'ers supposed to service, maintain, and/or replace components, which are non accessible once the body is applied? 🤷‍♂️

Cheers,

Jock. ;)
I think you can still get at everything but just not as easily 🤔

We did the factory tour yesterday 👍 having done it umpteen times before I didn’t take that many photos so just a few here,

IMG_2551.jpeg

Tanks in place on the floor before it even meets the chassis,

IMG_2553.jpeg
IMG_2550.jpeg

This shows them just starting to install the floor and all the tanks on the chassis, and it shows the steelwork for raising the dashboard which is moved closer to the windscreen at the same time.

IMG_2554.jpeg

This is looking into what will become the garage space, with the shower area already a installed,

IMG_2555.jpeg

The two bulkheads at the front tell us that this is going to be a Alkoven version,

IMG_2548.jpeg

And indeed the sides confirm this, the sides are all trimmed with hatches windows and even the graphics,

IMG_2557.jpeg

The habitation level floor is routed out for the underfloor heating,

IMG_2556.jpeg

And is now in place with the radiators for the Alde in place as well,

IMG_2560.jpeg

IMG_2561.jpeg

Kitchen block installed and steelwork for the seat belts on the two forward facing seats in the living area,

I’m back😃 doing this on my phone as I burned all my laptop data with photos of the Northern Lights last night 😃

IMG_2563.jpeg

So the roof is now on and up the steps to check out the solar panels and roof sealing😉 what I like about factory fit solar is that all the cables go into the roof under the panel so very neat and tidy,

IMG_2564.jpeg

A Quick Look underneath but nothing out of the ordinary there😏 full active air suspension of course and the factory now use HPC jack,

IMG_2565.jpeg

And jump a couple of stages to the finished vehicle, this one being a Liner on the Mercedes chassis judging by the cameras that are an option instead of mirrors,

It shows Morelos organisational powers to give you the light show, that’s what you pay for.🤭
Absolutely right Brain 😉 we are parked next to Norwegians and got back to the van last night and they commented how special the light show was, Jen said that she thought they would have better shows at home but they said “too much light pollution” so very rare to see.

Just back from a 25 mile ride with a guide from the factory, mixed surface but hardly any roads with traffic, some gravel and one long muddy ish and technical climb through some woods jongood I amazed myself with what these funny bikes can do, we only stopped once and that was because the mountain bikes in front stopped and got in our way😏

Same as at home, if it ain’t screwed down tight some scrote will nick it, this time the chrome surround off the light switches.

IMG_2608.jpeg

This a Loft 79F, can be had with a table as shown or bar version,

IMG_2607.jpeg
IMG_2609.jpeg

The F is for French bed, a nice layout at 8.4 metres and when we ordered it was a close call between this and our Palace.

I think I promised a closer inspection of the Orange Binder Home,

IMG_2610.jpeg

A tidy job actually and I think all the black sealant must have been redone after the foil as there are no white bits showing,

IMG_2611.jpeg

Even the hinges are foiled with only a tiny bit of original paint showing,

IMG_2612.jpeg

And while we are on different I quite liked this one,

IMG_2613.jpeg

Just a little bit of the parking, the first half closest to the pond (full of noisy frogs) is the Stellplatz that you can stop on anytime,

We were lucky last year as our 'wee' N&B Arto was not hemmed in and shaded by the monsters, as we were in one line astern opposite the back of the factory.

One really notices the height difference between any MH built on a truck chassis compared with a van. We are not often parked near them things.

Moved off from MORELO yesterday and did 30 miles back to Dettelbach, chilling day yesterday and then a bit of shopping this morning followed by a 25 mile bike ride,

IMG_0664.jpeg

Started with a ferry,

IMG_2626.jpeg

And that’s the Stellplatz 👍

We just followed the cycle signs to somewhere we hadn’t been before and found this lovely little spot, it even had a 24/7 ice cream machine 😊

Moving tomorrow towards the “romantic road”
