Hobby T500 LHD

I collected my 2007 Hobby T500 on 03/05/24. Generally it is in excellent condition and I have effected several improvements (Fitting a 4 camera system (It is LHD), bracing the inner garage wall and strapping the spare to that wall via vertical Fiamma rails.)

When I finally got round to looking at the underside I discovered that I have only one of two steadies. Can anybody assist with where I can get another? Photos of the heavy duty steady with quick release are attached.

It is a heavy beast. The alternative would be to look to replace both legs. Trouble is I don't think it compatible with anything else I can see on Ebay. Without this "doorstop" I am left with a circa 2 cm square section tube about 6-8" long with a pivot point at one end. If I can replace with something smaller and lighter all well and good.

I have emailed my dealer who says he was not even aware that the van had steadies and that personally he never uses them. So that is a dead end.

P.S. I will place an ad in Wanted but thought it best to post her as well.

Chris

When we had a Hobby (x244 but the same steady we found that the knurling on the shaft did not hold and did not sufficiently grip.
We now have alko steadies that are bolted to purpose holes in the chassis.
They wind down using a wheel brace and when not in use hold at 90degs to the road.
I bought mine on here and they are occasionally sold.
