Looking for a decent Mercedes Commercial dealer for my first service, any recommendations? (1 Viewer)

Not Norwich, (closest to me) or Fareham, both have terrible reviews.
Also looking at the 2 year service plan, if anyone has experience of that.

Not much help at the moment but I get all my stuff done at North Tuddenham Garage. Terry knows his way around motors (although the most recent ones MAY be beyond his facilities: ask) and Jade in reception is wonderful.

I did that for the same reasons but the service centre didn't bother registering the service with Mercedes. Now my local service centres refuse to service my vehicle because its a "motorhome".

Ironically, I’m sat waiting in a commercial MBdealer in Ourence, Spain. Had an engine warning light come on yesterday, so, they have good reviews, got fitted in soon after I arrived and I asked about first service and was told 2 years or 60000 k whichever first, involves a auto gearbox fluid/filter change, cost in Spain £600 and I know the U.K. cost is about £750, looks like I may just as well book it in here next year!

I stopped buying Merc`s, because of my experience with the commercial dealerships, in particular S&B Commercials.
Absolutely the worst dealership experience ever.
Not much help, but put them on the list to avoid !
So long as genuine parts are used, and a vat invoice is given, as far as I was aware you could use any garage and the warranty should be valid ?

Not so sure, had ours done at Western Mercedes at Broxburn, Service A and auto box oil etc, total £528 incl vat. Looks like a decent price now!

Yes first service, 2 years old exactly per warranty, mileage approx 16500, main service was a “Service A” per the schedule and cost £195 + vat which seemed reasonable I thought, especially compared to some of the Fiat pricing discussed on here. Because of our relatively low mileage we were given the option of the auto box oil change or could leave it for another year. We decided just to get it done, £245 + vat, so total £528. Van running smoothly, fingers crossed, we are off to France/Spain this week for 6 weeks.

Western Commercial were very helpful, they also gave us an Mot style advisories about our brakes and tyres, mainly about sleepy van syndrome!

These were always the best I ever used. Not sure if they are still as good. They are or were very specialised in motorhomes, ambulance etc

Thanks Wales a bit too far from Norfolk, unless I’m travelling that way. Big thanks to Bill & Helen for info, something to look at after we get home in August.
Engine warning light issue fixed, was part of the wiring loom under the passengers feet floor that had chafed, all good now and on our way to Portugal tomorrow

I’ve used Marshalls in Nursling, Southampton and found them very good.
I believe that a service centre has opened near me in Poole but I have as yet had no experience of them.
