Just looking
Hi,

We are looking to purchase a camper that's In ireland but on Lithuanian plates anybody know if there any complications or pitfalls. The sellers live In Ireland also

I would recommend doing a lot of your own research from official sources rather than forum as there are multiple "complications or pitfalls".
1st forgein vehicles can only be on forgein plates for max 12 months, they then either need to be register in country or removed.

Oops posting is a bit tricky.

you really need to know what the rules are for chamge of owner in Lithuania. If going to rereg in ireland or the uk a bill of sale from the owners should suffice.

Welcome here. Assuming you too are resident in ROI (Not NI), then I suggest contacting the Road Safety Agency (RSA) https://www.rsa.ie/services/vehicle-owners who are the responsible agency for advice. I suspect that the rules will we similar to the UK, but may not be, so any advice given here may be incorrect.

Fabulousnanny please let us know if you get it sorted how it went so the solution and process its available to everyone else in the future.

Be aware that the vehicle may not have entered Ireland legally and the ownership documents being in Latvian May be very easy to forge.
