Hi guys,

As you know, the Hobby750 is a low profile van and it's proving hard to find an awning that will fit.

I want a proper full sized awning. Preferably inflatable.

My measurements -

Height from floor to Omnistor awning: 220cm

Length of awning: 4 metres

What are my options?

What do you use?

Kampa, comes in range of widths and heights. Takes a mute or two to inflate and an age to peg out.. very quick to deflate.

So what's the size and model I should go for?

Everything I'm reading says they won't fit a 220cm high awning.

Can you post a link or model name that will fit my van?

You need the 400s 235cm-250
It’s the shortest kampa do, my awning is 250cm to the ground... and I recently bought one and it was too short and it’s too short so I have bought another one....

I’d sell it to you but I think it may still be too short for you....

Sorry just had a rethink.... a 400L would probably be Better for you... as I’ve said the 400s was far too short at the side of the van for me so I’ve gone for an 400xl now.....

Since 2005 ish
Kampala motor rally air pro 390 fits an awning between 220 -300.
It's a drive-away awning but you don't have-to ?
Cheers. Nige

Cheers guys,

Jeez! There's a lot to think about with these awnings.

I'll check out the models you've suggested.

Thanks for the suggestions guys,

OK. after reading your replies, this is what I'm thinking -

It's a drive-away awning which I really didn't want, but it's the right size and looks fantastic. I know I'm going to struggle to find an awning to fit 220cm so maybe this is my best option?

How does that price look?

I was thinking more this type.

That's exactly what I wanted but my awning is 220cm high. The specs say this awning is for awnings 235-250cm high.

220cm seems to be an odd height for a motorhome and Kampa suggest not using caravan awnings on motorhomes for some reason even though I would have thought they were incredibly similar.
