Hi Everyone,

we bought our Baily Autograph 765 6 months ago and have been away a handful of times.. unfortunately 2 of our trips the heating has failed to work but the Hot water has been ok. The other trips it’s all worked fine… what could the issue be?

More than toes wet now!
As a starter, what sort of heating do you have ?

:welco:
As Martin says we need to know what the heating system is.
Trma, Alde or Whale? And model number.

From memory, when we looked at a Bailey Approach Autograph it had an Alde Compact 3020 system.
No idea about it though as we got an AT with a Truma Combi 4e system instead.

ps OP :HelloThere:

Quite possibly but it's going to need a bit of input from the OP ;)

As above. more info needed as not every motorhome has the same system, even same model vans can be different.

If indeed you do have Alde wet heating (3020) there are numerous videos on youtube that can help ref settings etc.
Could be as simple as a temperature setting, having timer on by mistake, using low setting for main EHU, etc

Apologies for the late response, it’s an Alde 3020 system.

it’s definitely not the thermostat, We spent the weekend in it and temps dropped to 12.5 in the van when the thermostat was set at 20.

Suggests that the pump is not running for some reason, is there a pump symbol on the panel? (Circular arrows)

Have you checked in case the timer has been set ?? A very similar post has been made on a Burstner Facebook group and the pics showed that they had timer in use.

Worst case go in menu and do a reset.

I’m unable to check now as the vehicles back in storage.. i don’t recall seeing any circular arrows..
so frustrating as the heating worked 3 weeks ago on our last trip but didn’t work previously to that.🤔

It might need bleeding, if there is air in the system it may turn itself off.

All the gear, and no idea!
Check the pump is running on 12v even though you may be plugged in👍
I put it on another thread a couple of weeks ago but can’t remember which one🤷‍♂️

Yes the pump should be running on 12v, you should be able to feel the pump running, once you find it of course 😉

If you don't have a manual for the Alde system you can download one here 👍

I did have a controller that went faulty. Worked on time then went blank with nothing on the screen at all.
Had to replace the thermal fuse in the heater unit as it seemed to have an intermittent fault.
Was quoted £150 for a panel but bought a new fuse for 99p and soldered it into the Pcb on the board. Job done.
