Thetford fridge/freezer automatic. Which battery supplies power to fridge, when battery power option is selected. Also how long will items stay frozen if power is off, ie. on a long ferry crossing.

12v power to the fridge comes from the engine battery and is only 'On' when the engine is running.

A full freezer and fridge will stay cold for a long time, .. so no problem on a cross Chanel ferry..

on some long crossings to Spain there is an EHU available on the car deck.. ask the boarding officer when loading. You may need a long cable and a continental adapter.

if you are taking milk, freeze it first and then put it into fridge . Will keep the fridge nice and cold.
