Drunken TV Bracket (1 Viewer)

Does anyone have a remedy for the TV bracket leaning down with the weight of the TV. It is leaning to one side. When I lift the TV horizontal there seems to be play in the extendable bracket allowing it to lean. Would it be a case of purchasing a new one or has anyone done a mod to rectify this?

We had one of those in a previous motorhome.
You need to tighten up the nuts at each pivot location.

I have tightened them but one imparticular seems to more play in the pivot bolt. If I tighten too much it does not move?

They are not a great bracket to be honest.
I was forever tightening ours and as you say if you tighten it too much it wont move.
Probably better to replace it with something more substantial.

Changed the nuts on mine for ones with nylon inserts, e-bay I think.
I also cut a disk (from the material with holes in you use to stop things skipping around) and put it under the main centre nut to stop it spinning.

What is the bracket material, Plastic or metal? former material tends to flex. Also have you checked the weight of the tV against the bracket load specification? Also does the wooden material to which it is bolted flex?

Bracket is metal, wood support seems fine. The TV and bracket came with the MH I have recently purchased.

I’ve had problems like this before, in the end I purchased a shorter one (just two arms), there’s no thought whatsoever go into the design when these are churned out by our Chinese friends,
The problem is they are great until you hang a telly on the end, they need to be so much more robust.
I found that the majority of these 3 arm ones are just not upto the job, Rubbish for want of a better word.

Ours was similar. But there was rotation available at the TV end, so I could compensate for the droop.

Never watched the TV and it rattled around, so I took it out.

I had the same bracket and got fed up trying to keep the TV level. Tried all kind of things.
In the end took it out and bought this one from Amazon:

Mounting Dream TV Wall Mount Bracket Swivel and Tilt for Most 26-55 Inch LED, LCD and OLED Flat Screen TVs up to VESA 400x400mm and 27 kg with Fischer Wall Plug, Corner TV Bracket MD2377-02​

very pleased with it.

I would say that is too much for the wooden panel unless there is a metal plate or big washers behind the wooden panel. 4KG TV hanging 1M from the wall with only approx 150mm fixing, equates to about 13KG on each of the top screws. The bottom screws do nothing they just act as a pivot point. The middle screw reduce that somewhat but still a lot at the top screws. And you never get the droop out of those arms.

these bracket are really designed for solid wallsnotnotorhomes with massive strengthening

Better with a drop down bracket from under the cupboard

Too many joint which all droop unfit load

We have one and it looks like the middle pivot bolt has a slight bend in it - will one day get round to sorting a chrome Vad bolt to replace.

For now we are helping to support it with a bungee cord attached to the drop down bed safety net D ring.
