Hi I know I could use plastic but I really like my wine from a proper glass. Problem is how do I stop them rattling around when we are on the move? I have the grippér matting in the cupboard. Anyone got any clever solutions?

I see some have suggested drinking straight from the bottle, here is a money saving idea….become teetotal that way you won’t need wine glasses and problem solved MHF contributions are always useful and practical 😉👍

Proper polycarbonate ones are almost as good as glass. These are great Strahl Design & Contemporary Polycarbonate Osteria Chardonnay Glass 240ml - Set of 12 - Plastic Wine Glass https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B010U6WW86/?tag=mhf04-21

We use those as well but they don't stop the wine glasses from falling over even though they're inverted. We do have long stem wine glasses though.
There are two sizes (heights) I think we have the taller ones, certainly come over the top of a large mug.

We use the bubble wrap pouches that often come free or you can rescue them from jiffy bag liners

I have a plastic round bottom tumbler,it looks like glass it holds a full bottle of Henry Weston’s vintage but doesn’t look like a big glass,my lovely lady has a long stem wine glass that is glass, again holds a fair amount but it’s deceptive in the amount it holds, always wrapped in some soft plastic foamy packaging that I can’t remember where it came from, no rattles anyway

Still dropping clangers and making it up as I go along
I just cut up some polystyrene packaging
Drew around the cups and cut the holes

Not as pretty as M-J But does the same job.

We previously used a 24 hole cardboard box that pub pint glasses came in, modified slightly for balloon gin glasses etc. Unfortunately no space large enough with easy access so had to treat ourselves this time.

I intended to get purpose made but never got around to it. I may adapt mine now and put handle cuts in

Long time
I crocheted some ‘jackets’ for our short stemmed glasses then slot them into the Bone China mugs which get wrapped in grip-matting and wedged into the cupboard, no rattles and the only breakages were when washing up/drying!
