Hi, from snowed in Salendine Nook, topside of Huddersfield with excellent view of the M62.
We purchased a Mercedes Sprinter 310d (1999 vintage) Home Conversion in 2010, complete with fixed bed (doublesize) shower room, loads of storage, hot water heater, tv and lots of work top space complete with sink etc. etc. We had never driven anything heavier than a Renault Scenic car, so last year set off for a months tour of France. Being in our early 70's we had our hearts in our mouths before we got out of our close:Sad:but no need to worry, we had so much fun learning how to handle this big cumbersome 3.5ton beast that we fell in love with her (rust and all) so we named her Liverpool Girl (stickers all over her backside) Had a super month and would recommend this form of retirement activity to anyone thinking of getting a motorhome, have met some lovely people on our travels so just had to share this with you on the MHF site, if you see us on your travels give us a cheer:Cool:
