Our new van has an outside power point and we have been away for to weeks whenever we have had 204v power we cooked outside on George found it much easier than getting the Cadic out which is much harder to clean as well

The last time I tried a George it made a lot of noise and a revolting smell. I'm going to stick with cooking appliances in future šŸ”„šŸ˜³.

Yes we use one . Much the same reason because itā€™s easier than setting up the cadac if just doing a couple of steaks . They also do really good ham and cheese toasties šŸ‘šŸ»

Have the new ones got removable plates? I like ours, cooks well but a bugger to clean.

No, only use gas for the Weber Q1000 and the Campinggaz folding cooker. The vagaries of the EHU supply on the continent means you can't rely on getting sufficient amperage to run things.

Much prefer cooking outside, even if raining. The whole outdoor assembly just gets covered up when not being used.

And, have to say, I've never found a bbq that is as easy to clean as the Weber.

As soon as you finish cooking move it to the sink so the edge overhangs and pour hot water over the plates and leave it for a while, then you should be able to wipe all the crud off easily with kitchen roll after you've had your nosh. If it's cooled down too much just put it back on for a minute or two.

Edit: For H&S reasons and to ensure some numpty doesn't kill themselves, make sure you uplug the ruddy thing before pouring water on it!

We love our George which must be 12 years old at least. I lay foil on the grill spray liberally with one cal heat till the spray turns clear add the food and cook as required. When done just crunch up the foil and bin it, might just have to wipe down the front of George to remove any drips etc, our Cajun chicken is lovely, crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside.
