My Oyster V Satellite dish comes up as soon as I connect to EHU - something that can be disconcerting due to overhead furniture being around at times.

Is there a way I can disable this?

Thanks in advance
Kawa91.

I have the Oyster V and under Satellite there is Receiver Control option, this controls the dish up and down when the TV is turned on or off, so I think when you connect to EHU your TV powers on thus puts the dish up, you need to turn this option off.

I think that’s the problem but might be wrong 🤷

Thanks dpsuk999. When I plug in EHU the TV is not plugged in.

I'm not sure where the option is to turn this off. I bought the MH secondhand with not a lot of this type of knowledge nor instructions.🤷‍♂️

Good afternoon Kawa91

The problem is most likely due to a feature on the Oyster systems called "Receiver control" which elevates the system as soon as it detects power coming down the coax cable from whichever receiver you are using. To turn this option off simply plug everything in so that the dish starts to raise and then via the four button Oyster control unit please do the following:

1, Press on/off (far left) button - System will display "Sat Scan"
2, Scroll left once - System will display "Settings"
3, Press tick once - System will display "Satellite settings"
4, Press tick once - System will display "Receiver Control"
5, Press tick once - System will display "Automatic" or "Open sleep"
6, Scroll left or right until system displays "Off"
7, Press tick once - System will display "Save Settings?"
8, Press tick once - System will display "Receiver Control"
9, Press on/off button once - System will display "Satellite settings"
10, Press on/off button once - System will display "Settings"
11, Press on/off button once - System will display "Sat Scan"
12, Press on/off button to retract system or tick to put system into search mode

Unit should now not operate unless instructed too.

If you do not have a control panel this setting can be altered using the Oyster App but please give us a call on how to do this as we may have to make a few other alterations depending on the type of system you have.

Many thanks to elamessa for the tag
