We have just booked for the MCN Festival in Peterborough 12 - 14 May. All of £61 for two in a motorhome.

There looks to be plenty to attract bikers not least loads of free test rides which are easier to book if camping.

See here...........

That looks good!
Is it another name for the BMF show?
I may be up for it,but as Im only 20 odd miles away I would be going on my bike for the day!:)

It's the BMF under a different name ,might come down on the valk

I was there last year and not that impressed. Hopefully it will have grown a bit bigger this year. I'll be giving it a miss until it gets to be as good as the old BMF.

No.. not even close
The BMF has nowt to do with it..
It is now the MCN Festival.. which is why I, like many many others, do not support it or have anything to do with it..

I did wonder that myself but don't know. I never visited that one. @Jaws knows everything bike, maybe he'll comment.

The BMF May show was always a great one to go to.But that
went in decline some years back which led to dwindling bikers
attending which led to its demise, which was a real shame.

I plan on attending, probably a day visitor on the bike.

Amazing, such hatred of a simple tabloid paper. I buy it most weeks, even had it electronically whilst in Spain last winter. Yes, like all tabloids it's got loads of junk but usually something worth the reading or looking at, like Jorgez looking like he's been shafted by a gorilla.

Anyway we are looking forward to it followed by more bikes here....

What's the reason for that? None of the bikers I know avoid it. I don't read the paper, or at least not very often but if it's a good show then I see no reason to "cut my nose off to spite my face".

Is there a bit of a flat track display on Sunday similar to speedway but faster, I fancy coming for a look.
@hilldweller can you pop a post up on Saturday let us know if you have wasted your money as us poor people cant do the weekend.(y)

Still drying out after the heavy rain on the way here!.

The flavour of the place is Motorcycle Live. Loads of things to buy. Bikes to test, got a Yam booked for 13:00. Ducati are on a mission to sell, huge fleet. Old bikes being run up. Bars and food of course.

We are the Rapido at the Valkyrie Stand

Very surprised that BMW are not here!.

Well it was OK.

I had a very enjoyable 45 mins on a Yam Tracer 700. A sweet light rocketship in my humble opinion. Way too addictive performance for me, my licence would not last a week. It's a pity Honda was not there, I'd like to try a DCT for the fun of it.

Ducati fired the big guns, a fleet of X-Diavelos to play on. A more un-British bike I've never seen, I doubt many will come to England, the whole fleet was on Italian plates.

We saw our first speedway. It's pretty spectacular isn't it, though designed for those with short attention span, each race was all of 61 secs.

In the end and looking at the weather we left early Sun so 'er indoors could have a ride around Rutland Water. The cycle track was a bit on the rough side but she's happy, so I'm happy. The CL was spectacular, I write that up in the right place.

I like them fat Ducati Xdieval but at 20K and made of crusty alley not so sure the rest or the show/market was so so at £20 I claimed to be a mature student and got a consession @ £16.50 much to my pals dismay.
