The Actual vet charges thread has become so lengthy that it is difficult to pick out useful information. With most vets charging well over £100 for an Animal Health Certificate, the few that have been reported by Funsters as charging £75 or less - the ‘Good Guys’ - are now listed below:

1. Paul Jarman Veterinary Surgeries, Norfolk. £50

https://www.jarmanvets.co.uk/

2. Ruddington Vets, Nottinghamshire. £54

https://ruddingtonvets.co.uk/

3. Priors Leaze Vets, West Sussex. £65

https://www.priorsleazevets.co.uk/

4. Andre Cirone of Pets Abroad UK, Surrey. £75

https://petsabroaduk.co.uk/contact-us/

Please only add to this thread if you know of other vets charging £75 or less for an Animal Health Certificate (inc consultation). Thank you.

5. Vets4Pets, County Road, Hull, E Yorks: £33.00 consultation + £12.50 AHC = £45.50 (assume for 1 pet but may cover more)

They are charging £12.50 for the AHC plus a consultation which is £33.00 - he didn't ask if the AHC charge was for a single dog or not so I'm assuming it's per dog, although happy to be 'surprised' by them if it's just per certificate (up to 5 dogs).

For information, I have just telephoned Ruddington vets at East Leake, Loughborough and been informed that I would have to part with £140 for the Animal Health Certificate, so beware that prices may have already altered. Make sure you know the price before arranging an appointment.

Just called around Coventry. Bell and partners £84 a bit much but local and available.

Now for Medivet Coventry. £192. Nearly fell off me chair. Very nice receptionist said she will let vet know about lower prices as seen on MH Fun I think it's priced that they don't want to do them.

It seems there are a few threads about this AHC price issue on here. I've only started to look since my quote from my usual local vet in Faversham Kent went from £150 in June to £280 yesterday when I tried to book an appointment at the end of the month.
All the Vets around here are now £200+

This particular thread was started to list those vets charging £75 or less for an AHC, in the hope of making it easy for people to find them.

If you look up animalhealthcertificate.online
They are vets near Foljestone that charge £98 per dog. I think it's £50 for extra dog. There is also passpet in Hayling Island same price. If you are on Facebook join a group called Animal Health Certificate.

This is the website, it says they are looking into posting the AHC out to you that would be good.

To update situation re Mcphersons Notts price is now £135. I thought this was a lot but Orchard Vets,Nottingham is now £250 and only for existing customers. I wonder how many on the previous lists are still at the same rate

Looks like the best option for us. I've phoned them and they are sending me the details and forms.
Thank you for the heads up

I hope there is a way round this eventually, I was annoyed at £150, when they start charging £250 it becomes blatant profiteering.

What a ridiculous situation and entirely foreseeable as well.

I have even complained to my local MP who as usual didn’t bother to reply.

I don’t see how it can be done purely by post. They must inspect the pet to confirm it’s healthy enough to travel.

I guess one side of the coin is that [1]it’s the choice of the owner to travel abroad and [2]markets are driven by supply and demand…

Cost and experience of (a)holidaying in the UK vs. (b)Kennel fees or wanting to take your pet ( which is part of the family) overseas with you

Unfortunately It’s a make your choice and pay the piper…
