There are so many air friers to choose from , We love the remoska, BBQ is not our thing although i know its very popular and we are looking for an electric alternative for cooking as we have now gone over to lithium. We normally go and buy the wrong thing . so thought i would ask advice before buying

Thanks in advance

3 yearsā€¦.
Mrs CC took her Ninja with her when we went away in May but found it a bit overkill for the 2 of us so left it at home this time.
I went down to Curryā€™s and picked up this cheap one to leave in the van, been performing very good on this tripšŸ˜

New to this.. not sure what an inverter is šŸ˜© I mean to use the air fryer when hooked upā€¦ is this something we can do?

Ok,if you are always on EHU then it will be fine, just check what amps the campsite EHU is when you arrive. And best to just turn things off when you use the airfryer so as not to trip the electrics.

We use a small (physically) 1000w cheapie Ā£30 we got from B&M. Suits us, we do run it from 2 X lead acids and an 1100w Inverter very occasionally. Hopefully when we go lithium we may use it more.

So I gather itā€™s big enough to do food for 2?

It depends where you tour really. We spend a lot of time in France, Spain and Portugal and are often on 6amp electric. Because of this we looked for a 1500w or less as that works on 6amp as long as itā€™s the only big appliance youā€™re using.

Thereā€™s plenty of choice but because of where we want to store it weā€™ve just bought a Tefal Actifry Genius. So far Iā€™ve only cooked bacon, chicken and boiled eggs (well airfried) and reheated Chinese but itā€™s done that well and itā€™s unique design means you can do things like chow mein, fried rice, stews etc (it has a paddle that turns) but I havenā€™t tried them yet.

The only reason we didnā€™t end up with a tower style was it wouldnā€™t fit in any of our cupboards šŸ˜ Pleased with what we did end up with though.

For those not completely aware if you have 6amp on EHU and think you might struggle have your inverter switched on the mains EHU then passes through your Inverter thus giving you the ampage you need without taking too much out of your Batteries, with Lithiums even better reliable power.

Well that`s our 13th year & still loving it.
We have this one, don't understand why anyone would buy an air fryer with two small drawers, One big drawer and you can fit big and small items in, with small drawers you can only cook small portions.
Note the Steamer facility is a waste of time, far easier to add 1/2' of water into a saucepan to steam food.

We have a 2kw inverter and 3 x 150ah wet batteries, our air fryer is a small 1kw unit and after cooking dinner using it around 40mins I believe we drew down about 5% on the battery bank

We have a dual drawer at home, means I can keep one drawer dairy free or vegan for my grandchildren. Can cook a small chicken in one if the drawers, bigger duos are available, but i prefer the tase of a chicken done in the remoska, dont think i would bother with an air fryer for the van. When we watched a programme about air fryers I just thought they were a remoska with a fan šŸ¤£
Not my choice to get one, but it does lovely chops and steaks and John likes french fries, the remoska does not get hot enough to do them well , the fries that is.
