Brand new to owning our Hymer. When we viewed her the way she was parked meant we couldn’t see the awning in use. Everything else about her is immaculate and all other checks were possible and positive.

I can’t work out how to action the awning to bring it out and put it in again. I can see, on the right of it, a part that looks like a pole would slot in to turn the mechanism to roll it out. But where might I find the pole? And if that’s not how it works, how does it work?!

I’ve had a good online search but no answers forthcoming.

Thank you!

Have you checked everywhere ..under bed, in lockers, wardrobe etc .. sometimes tucked away .. they are telescopic ..

Also, there are two makes, Fiamma as mentioned and also Thule Omnistor .. the winding handles are not the same .. there should be a name on the awning housing,

Look in the wardrobe, under bed and in garage could be clipped in there somewhere! If it can’t be found…… is it electric?
Just seen it’s an older b544 so NOT electric so the winding handle should be there somewhere, best guess is inside the wardrobe door return 👍😁

you may be correct, I looked, but wasn't able to determine from that image.

but is it not better to check, than buy the wrong one ..

my B644 had a Thule Omnister.

I can't help locate your winding handle but you might find some poles etc( if like ours your awning needs poles) in the rear bumper. One of the bumper ends is spring loaded on ours and probably yours.
Classic Hymer Facebook group is a font of knowledge.

Cropped from original Newbie Hello post hook connection so FIAMMA.

I don't think the pole is sufficiently "telescopic" to not be easily found, if present.
Guessing an ebay visit.
