As I'm heading back to the UK from Spain via France I thought I would try at least one new stopover on my normal route. So taday I arrived at the aire at Haza which is right next to the remains of the castle. It's situated with an elevated view of the surrounding countryside which was evident on...

Stayed at the lovely Cabra aire for two nights, again it is right on a lengthy Via Verde with good places to visit at different points on it. Cabra itself is a pleasant place with plenty of bars, shops etc. The aire is free and has very good facilities, it is fenced with a gate that you can...

Had an overnight stay at the official aire which is currently being renovated but plenty of space to park still. There is a nice gorge next to the town which I cycled along which was very pleasant. The town itself is quite nice as well with a couple of interesting buildings and a few decent bars.

Finally returned to my favourite campsite at El Berro after a three-year absence. I had a peaceful couple of months catching up with friends, getting fit with lots of cycling and hiking and even having a month without alcohol (February of course, the shortest month).
