Might still want to consider a regulator though. The TV might be expecting a nice clean 12v. Then the sun comes out from behind a cloud and your solar gets over excited and starts pumping 14v through the wires. Most TV,s also work from 12 volt.,check the back and see if the plug is a transformer plug.it would be useful for it to also work with 12v,when your not on hook up.

Used a "normal 19" for many years, never on a site, and with solar panels could easily watch for 2 or 3 hours a night. It was,of course, run through an inverter. Try not to use water pump at the same time as inverter gets a bit fed up .If you always use site electricity can you just use a regular 230v TV ?
Check the specs of whatever ‘240v’ TV you are intending to use/buy. Many are actually 19v DC and have a 240v to 19v transformer on the 3 pin plug lead.
We have a 22” LG Smart TV/Monitor mounted in the van and power it exclusively from a generic laptop power supply unit fed from a 12v ciggie type socket. Also a Firestick plugged into the USB port on the TV and it all runs perfectly.

Yeah, never had any issues with ours, nor have our parents either...even with coffee machine and air con on with itIf you always use site electricity can you just use a regular 230v TV ?
Possibly because most 12V TVs have smaller screens and 4k/UHD is better on big screens.I’ve just updated the TV in our MoHo. 12v TV’s haven’t kept up with modern tech. I wanted a 4K 12v TV but they don’t exist.
I have also just read that 4k/UHD TVs use up to 30% more power than HD ones. 12V TVs for motorhomes and caravans are probably designed to use as little power as possible.I’ve just updated the TV in our MoHo. 12v TV’s haven’t kept up with modern tech. I wanted a 4K 12v TV but they don’t exist.
But surely you will not notice the difference with 4k unless you have at least a 50" screen.I’ve just updated the TV in our MoHo. 12v TV’s haven’t kept up with modern tech. I wanted a 4K 12v TV but they don’t exist. So I’ve gone for a Samsung 4K monitor and running it exclusively with the inverter.
We are at home at present, so I went out to the Motorhome to watch last weekends F1. I have to say, watching in 4K on a decent size 32” screen was amazing!
Pure viewing luxury whilst away from now on!

I don't really notice much difference on my OLED screen at home but you are a youngster Harvey so you might.
