Looks like a Mamod, I had one like that as a kid.. it had a long handle on the front roller to steer it as you walked along with it .. you can see where it should attach .. :thumb:

Who remembers Gamages in London? they used to sell all this type of stuff mail order and from their shop.
Bought a Stuart Turner double 10 upright steam engine un-machined kit from them in about 1964, and built it at school in metalwork lessons, broke a leg off while machining it but managed to braze it back together.
Wish I had it back
Where do you find the old ones.. boot fares, junk shops, internet ?
