Why Don’t We Have Traditional Moderators Like Other Forums?
You might have noticed that Motorhome Fun doesn’t have a team of moderators actively policing every section of the forum. This might seem unusual—many other forums assign multiple moderators per section, each with the power to edit, move, or delete posts, enforce rules, and even ban members.
While that approach can create structure, it often leads to a rigid, rule-heavy environment that feels less welcoming and more like a battleground. In some forums, moderators can end up competing for control, enforcing rules unevenly, or creating an “us vs them” atmosphere that discourages participation and drains the fun.
We do our best to avoid that.
Why Motorhome Fun is Different
At Motorhome Fun, we’ve always believed in a more relaxed, community-driven approach. From day one, we’ve operated without traditional moderators.
- We don’t stress over posts being in the “wrong” section.
- We don’t nit-pick spelling or grammar.
- We care more about clear, friendly communication than perfection.
We encourage our members to self-moderate. If you see a post that seems offensive, inappropriate, or disruptive, please don’t engage in a public argument—just report it quietly using the built-in reporting feature.
How the Reporting System Works
When you report a post:
- It’s reviewed by the team—every single report is seen.
- You won’t receive direct feedback, but rest assured, action is taken if needed.
- If a post gets multiple reports, it will be temporarily hidden until it’s reviewed.
Depending on the situation, responses may include:
- A public reminder about forum rules
- A private message offering a friendly nudge
- Stricter steps, like post pre-approval or a temporary/permanent ban
We rarely need to go that far, but we’re always ready to act to preserve the forum’s welcoming atmosphere.
How to Report a Post
Reporting is easy:

- Let us know what’s wrong—we’ll handle the rest.
