Crossed back into Spain with 11 days and 35gb of roaming data remaining on my French 'Free' sim.

When the router is restarted I have to login to the admin page on my macbook and confirm roaming.
This is despite roaming being selected on the device's settings/network screen.

Anyone else had this issue?

The only workaround I can see is to keep it powered up.

I think this is a problem with many ZTE models. We leave ours powered all the time when the van isn’t in storage. ( well except when driving as the leisure batt is off due to stupid British van. ). But we then do turn it back onto charge whenever we stop.

There is also an ZTE app for iPhone (if you have one) that you can use to turn roaming on/off. That might be easier than digging out your MacBook?

If using a French sim with suitable APN would you need roaming on.
I don’t know just asking

Do you plugged into to usb all the time the unit is on?

Hmmm, the Andoid version is rated "rubbish" on the Play store, so not going that way ...
It's not been rated yet on Apple. Seems to function ok for me, in that it allows me to do all the stuff I can do by logging into it on my MacBook.

Have you checked to see if it has a firmware update available?

I’m pleased with mine, been getting good 5G, changed from a Huawei B535

This is from my mu5001 with a 3 data sim installed this week. Picked up a cheap one from amazon 80gb a month exp Jan 2027 for £59.99. Only use in the UK as no roaming. But ok for me as a backup.

Also I don't need to to keep setting roaming on once powered off so I think that's an issue with your device.
