All the gear, and no idea!
Right funsters, should I store the waffleboards on the roof on the great Carthago Offgrid overlander😁😁

I will carry telescopic ladders, I’m young and fit enough to get them on and off.
Pros frees up locker storage

Cons might be muddy when I use them and would probably wash them before I put them back and will probably have a custom made cover for them.

Thoughts??

If it was me I would be looking at storing them under the van, should be easy enough.

Will the ladder sink into the mud as you try to climb up to get them?

Under the van as per Diabalo's suggestion sounds good, assuming you have space. Doesn't matter if they're muddy and no faffing about with ladders when you're already probably a bit stressed about being bogged in somewhere.

Just thinking out loud...

Then again if it’s sunk I won’t be able to get at them! I do have levellers and various pads for the legs so I could put them under the ladder, but I will get under and have a look👍

It’s a no from me Ady how are you going to secure them ?
With the proper clamps👍

3 lengths of unistrut sikaflexed to roof with proper unistrut spring nuts with two lengths of threaded bar into the unistrut and up through the waffleboards with proper clamps to secure it on the unistrut 👍

roof seems an easily accessible place , they're not something you should need frequently (hopefully ? :) )

Yes hopefully, I’m pretty savvy when it comes to soft ground and will ALWAYS walk it first, that’s not to say I’ll never get stuck, I never got stuck at Peterborough when all around were getting towed😉👍👍👍👍
