:welcome4: to Fun. There's a few experts on here who may be along to help and plenty of threads on these Chinese Satnavs. Mine is still working ok but the maps, allegedly, are all pirated from other sources so long term updates will be a problem.

Welcome, need more information what are the start and end points of the routes, which routing algorithm (fast, short etc.), what vehicle type and size are you using and what year are the maps? With this information it might be possible to replicate the problem on another unit.

Silly things such as 'prefer' turning to either right or left can make sat navs do that, also if you have it set to avoid tolls, certain types of roads, if there is a weight/height/length restriction on the route for your vehicle (assuming you can put these into the settings), also arriving on a certain side of the road/direct can also make them do daft things ... basically check all the settings, turning them on then off, and try it again.

Ordered one from ebay, get what you pay for I guess, got a headache, had to practically bash the screen to get a reaction, wouldn't complete a postcode entry, and half of the content just didn't seem necessary, no doubt would be great fun if you're a technophobe (maybe wrong word) I love simplicity, if I come to a low bridge I'll duck! It's currently on its way back where it came from.

Hi,

I have had two now, first one "sold" with last van, so bought a new one. To and me and the other half, it is easy to use. I have recommended it to a few who have all been equally pleased.

I have not experienced any strange routing, but always have a map not too far away for such emergencies.

I am sure one of the other funsters will be able to help, but please don't be put off.

There is a complete set of files available here for members to download and installation/ replacement/ upgrade takes a few minutes via a laptop.

I so wanted it to work, at one point I thought it was a blip made by me so as the video on utube said I could go back to factory settings and try again, so I did after which no good at all.

You need to join the Facebook Nozatec help group and then read the file instructions and then follow them. Can be a challenge but I managed to sort things out at the second attempt.
