X244 Starter Battery

Hi all, We have a 2006 Ducato 2.8 (X244) and I’m looking to replace our starter battery, currently an 017. I can do ‘like for like’ but changing to an 019 gives more choice and although a little more height than a 017 looks like it should fit…..has anyone fitted an 019 without problems? Many Thx

Can someone with knowledge of battery technology advise me? I have just renewed my leisure batteries should I also renew the starter battery also?

Depends if it performing as it should.
Ideally needs checking with a multimeter.

What advantage will you gain changing to an 019

Most 019's are 190mm high whereas the 017's are 175mm high. Either will do the job but the 019 may be too high.

I replaced mine on my X244 2006 ducato with this fitted fine.

What advantage will you gain changing to an 019

I'll have more choice of battery and possibly improved performance so good to know either will do the job.
