WSB

Looks like it will be mirror signal manouvre for Bautista on the Ducati again 😯

Jay Ray's the man at Phillip Island (y)

Despite the weather and the lack of close running/overtakes, ‘Twas still a good race this morning! 👍🏻

I was very pleased for McPhee, anyone know why Taz was slow and the bike not out much in practice?

Is it just me, or is the double-act commentary a tad too relentless? they seem to witter on and repeat so much, it becomes easy to miss any actual interesting stuff.

I bought a WSBK Videopass this year as the BT commentary does my head in. Watched a few minutes of it last week and the fool was wittering on about needing to stop the race (it was a flag to flag race)! The WSBK coverage concentrated on the different tyres and compounds being used, rider experience etc. and their voices didn't jump up several octaves every time something nearly happened 🙄😉

Taz's engine is basically standard until they get back to Europe and it'll get a race prep engine. Dunno why but he did well considering he was way down on top whack.

I'll bet that WSB follows BSB and heads back towards standard bikes within a year or two.
Track attendances are down globally and costs are crazy-high, so change must come. Leave the prototype bikes in MotoGP to get on with spending millions and just give us good, close racing. JR winning 6 on the trot was a yawn and probably drove attendances down, then Covid, now Bautista and Ducati millions.
Stock superbikes are all hovering around the 200 bhp mark and have all the bits to give us good and close racing. Carbon faring at 8 grand a pop? Who benefits if they've all got it?
I'll get my coat....

Whilst talking about 200bhp superbikes.....if anyone wants a lovely wee Honda C90 I just put mine up in the classified section.
:giggle:

Whilst I agree with the gist of what you say, personally I am slow to get bored with UK winners in any class. What I do get peed off with is the amount of Spanish and Italian venues and racers (both WSBK and MotoGP). As far as Ducati is concerned they changed the rules to let them in with regard to spec and valve gear and I feel they are now just giving them a couple of years domination to balance the scales. It's largely about money and influence at the moment and it's spoiling the entertainment.
