Hi all, have been looking through the pub stop overs, as plan to grab a night away this comming weekend, even though the forecast is for only 2 degrees
There is an area beside the river in Wroxham, (listed as Porter & Haylett).
Overnight with all services for £10. Not sure if that includes ehu?
Anyway, has anyone been there? and any thoughts welcomed.
Thanks.

This link might help (I haven't been) It doesn't appear to have EHU

Hi Nigel
There is a place right by the bridge. If you ring Cheryl 07803619015 it's £10 a night.
It's on the Norwich side of the bridge, turn in where they are building something right beside bridge, follow Road til you come to the river. If you like Indian food there is a great one again just by the bridge, bit tacky but great food but if you like plenty of sauce you have to tell them.
Also great fish and chips from Ken's fish shop which is opposite the Indian. No EHU

Thanks, we are currently not members of the C&CC. I do believe that some of their sites allow non members to stay with them? I presume that this site does, as i found it listed in the Wildcamping listings.
Thanks for the link though.

Speak to Cheryl first to confirm, but I think she is closed ATM while the bridge gets repaired.

We have stayed many times over last 3 years.Last year Cheryl
told us we had to be members of the CC&c to be able to carry
on using her site.
Its a lovely place to stay and has toilets, and a shower over the bridge in the boat yard which is coin operated. There is no EHU though.
We will be back as much as we can.I hope being a member of
the CC&c does`nt make it to popular that we cant get in when
we want to,as we have never had a problem before.

We stayed there in 2015 & no ELH and elsan point is over bridge in marina, mainly grass pitches ... it's a great spot.
When we were there they were waiting for C&CC approval which they must have now.

Although C&CC and the CC allow non members on many of their club sites (full camp sites) CS's and CC CL's can only take members of those clubs. I believe that is a legal requirement for planning purposes, although some owners are, allegedly, not too fussy about checking membership cards.

She wanted to see our membership cards , before it went with C & C Club anyone could stay and it was advertised on many places.
I know it's a job to get on in the summer because fisherman have their holidays there. :D2 :) Bob.
