Hi all,

My wife and I are looking at travelling overseas for 2 months from mid October to mid December 25. We have a cat which we won’t put into a cattery meaning we’re thinking of looking at house sitting options. We have a large drive, electric hook-up, fresh water and access to sceptic tank, so I was wondering if it’s likely that anyone would be interested in parking up on the drive for a couple of months with free access to facilities in return for feeding the cat. Of course, you’d also be very welcome to use the facilities in the house - kitchen, washing machine, bathrooms, gym, games room, bbq etc. and even sleeping in the bedrooms if that was preferable. I.e. we’re very open to finding a solution that works for both parties. And whilst the cat being fed and let outside briefly each day is the main driver for this request, in reality a few days here and there can be missed as we have a very kind neighbour who always offers to help and can step in to fill the gaps. If 8 weeks was too long in one stint, we could always consider 2 x 3-4 week options.

We live in the countryside just outside Newcastle under Lyme, and only a few minutes from M6 junction 15. I.e. Great access to the Peak District, Cheshire and Shropshire countryside as well as 40 minutes by train/car to Manchester and Birmingham.

Just a thought at this stage so would welcome any views as to whether this is likely to be a runner or not?

Cheers, Carl
