Worth a punt?

Not a chance.

The wheel arch cover is missing the other side as well.

That has taken a substantial knock a long way down the side, I would be very wary of its structural integrity and alignment after a smack like that.

The strength in those panels relies on it being a continuous bond, a hole can be fixed or a small scrape, that looks like a new side and back to me.

Just read the add again, no structure damage? Who examined it? Stevie Wonder? 😂

That isn’t an easy winter project, it needs a lot of very expensive repairs. Got to be worth 40k in good nick, there is a reason it’s for sale at 20k.

Not at anywhere near that price when it's 11 years old.
the actual price should be less than it is worth when breaking for spares

I think I'd budget of £20k to repair.
Might be worth seeing if you could get the job done in somewhere like Poland.

Worth a punt, yes.
But not at even half that price.

Edit:
I notice the seller has a Polish name.
Which given that Poland is the place to resurrect damaged vehicles, you have to ask why he has not gone through with the project.

Was looking OK until the last few photos.

Just park it against a wall when you are at home, and never get out of the driver's side on site

As a resident of Poland I would agree about the repairs on most vehicles, mechanical, car bodywork etc., but would have doubts about repairs to MH habitation areas - just not enough experience as the MH market here is small and relatively young.

Always going to have Cat S on the V5 so probably only worth £20k in perfect condition.
At £5k might be worth a punt.
I really can't see why it is an 'S' ? There is no structural damage? It should be an'N' = cosmetic only.

Thanks for all your responses. I think I shall leave this one alone.
I wasn't intending to make a quick buck out of it but thought it may be the only way I could reasonably afford a van of this type.
I shall have to keep looking.

It's an eldiss isn't it? I wouldn't buy one of those without damage never mind a damaged one . State of that I wouldn't give 5k for it

I didn't necessarily mean an eldiss just a reasonably sized modernish van.
Unfortunately don't have £40k plus down the back of the sofa.
In fact I've not got a sofa at all.😢

You can get a lot of van for 20k if you look in the right place.

Yes I've seen some of their vans on gumtree. Seem to have a reasonable amount of stock but the vans in the background never seem to move. Suppose just got to go and have a look.
