just looking
Hi All,
I've got a 2016 Carthago Compactline , the passenger seat has an annoying bit of side to side travel when locked in forward facing position. The drivers seat locks into place perfectly, I've had a look for any obvious bolts to tighten , had anyone had a similar issue?

Sounds like a missing bolt or two.
You need to get that fixed before any passenger sits in the seat whilst underway.
It will be an instant MoT fail.

Seats are often fitted using large Torx bolts, often with a red mark on them, to show they have been tightened to the correct 'N' level.
Unless it's obvious where and why there is a problem, you may need to take it to a proper dealership.

Thanks , I'll have another look. It only moves a couple of milimeters so I'm hoping it just needs to be tightened up a bit.

I have exactly the same problem, same seat, so annoying.
All the Torx bolts are there and tight.
It feels more like it’s coming from underneath.

If it's coming from the swivel, there's not a lot you can do, but if it's down to the "front to back" sliders, you can slacken off the torx bolts a smidge and tap the rails closer together to see if that gets rid of the play ?
Might be easiest to do it with the seat removed, but that's a cumbersome job in itself and may need a shortened down torx key to gain access to the fixing bolts ?

Hmm, I think I 'll leave it unless the MOT is a problem...

Not a Carthago!! But my RV seat had a wobble and i had to dismantle. Found a metal ring with ball bearings inside and the whole mechanism was over tightened and crushed the upper and lower surfaces so the balls were now trapped!

I had a similar issue with some very tight jeans a few years ago.

The seat swivel is two plates joined on a bearing one bit is fitted to the seat box and the other to the seat bottom. I would check the detent( the bit you pull up to move the seat and see if it’s worn! If not wobble the seat to see where the movement is!?
Best of luck 👍😁
