Maybe a daft question but apparantly it's doable? The wife seems to like Bob Earnshaws vids and Ive seen him say he's done this but I cant find anything specific on his youtube channel on how.

Just thinking as I've 4 speakers in our Autograph it'd be a better sound?

Easy enough just run a cable from either the audio out or the headphone out socket on the TV to the Aux input on your head unit.

Does it not need to then run through the stereo with an aux cable input?
You would be better using a wireless speaker, our traveler tv can out put to both the tv speakers and the wired speaker together giving us a better sound altogether

I have a wee soundbar and it's quite good, to be honest it's her indoors has the problem as she sits nearer the speaker than me and whinges when im trying to chat to her that she cant hear me  I was thinking that the speaker in each corner would be a better option logistically for both of us lol.
As for an aux input on the radio, I can't actually find one on my head unit Lenny HB  Im googling though as I find it hard to believe there's not one somewhere daft lol.

More modern units have the input on the rear of body, usually a fly lead somewhere in the dash

It will be on the back you need to take the unit out, often a short flying lead with a couple of phono's that plugs into a socket on the back.

ahhhhhhhh ok, that'll be a job for next week then to explore then find a lead that will reach and see if its worth the hassle of running one.

Or maybe use Bluetooth transmitter/receivers at both/one end? Saves a lot of messing with wiring, and also allows you to put your phone through the head unit for streaming.

This is the easiest way

We use a laptop for watching TV. Bluetooth on the laptop and Bluetooth on the Pioneer sound system. Your smart TV may have Bluetooth. If your van stereo system doesn't then maybe buy a Bluetooth Speaker.

tried blue tooth already via fire tv and van, lag between the tv and speakers is obvious and unacceptable. I'd rather have it wired or live with what I have to be honest.

We use a little blue tooth speaker with a 3.5mm jack to 3.5mm jack cable to plug into the speaker and then into the headphone socket on the TV
Speaker gets power from the tv via usb, dead simple.
Pm me if not clear
Cheers

easy enough. I trialled lots of different solutions for suppressing engine and invertor noise/hum/hiss and using a decent crossover but found great solutions. Two buttons to turn a standard 10 speaker and sub audio system into a little home cinema. One is the crossover, one is the more critical noise suppressor. goes inline between the audio out jack and the amp. PM for details

Or you could purchase an Avtex soundbar. Enhances the audio from TV, not necessarily an Avtex one. Funnily enough I've got one for sale. Not yet advertised but all good. PM me if interested.
