Am asking the fountain of all knowledge, which is MHF, for some help.
I can't use earbuds, have just found my old, still working CD player, it still works, have checked with new batteries and John's headphones. Latter now firmly attached to the tv where they live.
Am looking to buy my own but would ideally like ones which
A) can be used wirelessly
B can be used plugged into cd player
C) have some degree of noise cancelling
D) do not emphasise or can have turned down bass
E) do not cost £400
Over to the experts

I've got both of these and, for the money, are excellent.
You'll get cheaper pricing elsewhere.
They regularly have them on offer on Amazon eg refurbished Q20i @£31 https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0CF13RMLY?tag=mhf04-21
and Space One @£58 https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0CHW6RW18?tag=mhf04-21

EDITTED: to fix first link  and add that you can get Soundcore app for your phone where you can set up graphic equaliser settings to your taste.

I got refurbished and they were both "as new" - boxes were sealed!

I’m getting the Space Ones for my birthday this week! Spent ages researching and these had very good reviews.

Currently watching, well listening, to TV in motorhome whilst management has a lie-in using the Q20i ones. Use the Space Ones at home.

Think you'll be well pleased with them and would recommend getting the Soundcore app to open more management functionality.

I swear by sony headphones. And specifically the Sony WH-1000XM3. I fly an awful lot, and they have never let me down. They are very comfortable, Great noise cancelling, don't overheat your ears, good battery life, and can be used wired. They have newer models, but these ones can now be had for very cheap. The neutral sound is great, but you can adjust the EQ settings if you wished to. At the times they won quite a few awards.

The website below is a fantastic place to look for reviews. They go really indepth.

Sorry for late response, been out for the day with my crafting mate. Thanks all for the help and info.
Had looked at a couple of the sets recommended on here, Doubt they will get a lot of use but I do miss listening to my cds. Decisions decisions
