Our wipers are starting to go so we'd like to replace them soon, where are we best to buy them, in France or Spain?

We needed to replace ours on our Citroen Wildax whilst abroad assuming that it would be easy swap over.Little did we realise that our vehicle (being rhd) Bosch wiper blade themselves have a different sided mount from lhd to rhd vehicles. They look identical but the inner part which isn't visible is different so be careful as opened returns could be problematic.

Just to report that we visited a Chinese shop and managed to get a couple of wipers for just over €13. We were a bit apprehensive as despite the info saying they were for a 2006 onward Ducato the clips weren't identical. Fortunately they fit 😀 so we're now desperate for it to rain to see if they work at speed or just fly off! 😄

We've had exactly that problem, trying to get replacement wipers at a main dealer in France for our right hand drive Ducato.

Fortunately, I asked if they could fit them for me - and of course the mechanic struggled for almost ten minutes before realising what the problem was. They were embarrassed, but obviously couldn't charge me.

The wiper rubber had split at the outside edge, so I just taped it up until we got back to Blighty - worked surprisingly well and not too much of an issue. Always carried spares after that. 👍

Agreed, changing the rubbers would have been an option. Strange the garage didn't come up with that solution and just said there was nothing they could do and no advice on how to resolve the situation.

But, as said, taping the end of the wiper blade worked out fine as a temporary fix for the month we had left in France.
