I’m a newbie
Hi all this is my first post and first time having a Winnebago just a question regarding the electrics.
am I able to convert 110v to 240v via a transformer and is it cost effective or would it just be easier to just rewire it and if so has someone got a wiring diagram I can follow while doing it 😄

If correctly imported and paperwork done/registered then I thought adding 240V was something that had to be done? Most RV have the original 110v AC AND some new 240V AC sockets added as the incoming power is split between two clever boxes - one for 110 and one for 240.

I haven’t got a clue to be honest when I looked at it there was 4 US sockets. A double on the edge of the worktop and double underneath the top cupboard.
A few things I do know is that it’s got a generator outside which I think is 110v at the back and it’s got x2 leisure batteries

There are regular importers that know this better than us. Also some independents that offer the service. Message me if you want the ones I know of.

Conversion to 240v is not required to import an RV.
You can have a step up/step down tranny fitted along with a 230 ring, doing this means all 110 appliances work and if you start the Genny any 240v sockets work along with your 110v.
No offense but if your not confident with electric's message jev88 above.

Here's a pic of mine:

The fuse box is on the left and has an RCD and two MCB' 1 for the tranny and 1 for the 230v.
The Tanny is behind the vertical bit of OSB board.
This was done before I bought the RV in 2004 by Chase RV electrics, he's made an excellent job and I would recommend him.
