I'm a newbie
In the little lanes of Devon we have had our wing mirrors bashed even though we were at a stand still.
Please can anyone recommend wing mirror covers - do they help?

Mirrorguard. they can be a %$&*! to get on, and I have no idea how you'd get them off again, but they do seem much tougher than anything else

Thanks for the input. I will call them as we have a Ford chassis.

They don't make 'em for the Fords only the Fiats, Pugs & Citroens.

There's a small U.K. firm called Mirror Armour which does them for Ford but they're out of stock. Some on Amazon but I don't think they fit the longer arms.

Absolutely. They have saved our mirrors going down narrow, er no, really narrow roads.

I have just replaced my mirror guards as they won't stay on keep working themselves off the mirrors i have fitted them to to two other motorhomes the self adhesive pads have been replaced with every fitting but they still work loose

Equally important is to make sure the mechanism is well greased, had an AA truck caught ours and the mirror just folded back as it should without any damage at all.

With my first set i took the sticky pads off and put them on with stick all silicone adhesive they would be a bar steward to get off so I let them go with the van when I sold it and bought some new one's for the new van .

Yes they do but I cannot think of the name of ours, but they have a dense foam inner padding which protects the mirror from knocks. The outer shell takes the scuffs when hit by other vehicles, Ours have been hit twice by white van men, the second time his lay smashed in the road ours just flipped closed and I could not see where they touched.
