Windscreen reversing monitor loose at fixing of monitor stem RVM-700 Mirror Monitor Series. I cannot see how to secure the monitor stem to the windscreen. Has anyone got one of theses and could offer some help.

I have read that too. However, the "stem" is fixed to a block of some sort. The monitor is loose in a way that suggests it is insecure on this block or whatever it is not the fixing on the windscreen.

There are various gles for mounting windscreen mirrors.
Or would double sided tape be enough?

Or would double sided tape be enough?

I tried some good quality 3M double-sided tape on a friends mirror stem to the windscreen, but it did not hold for too long due the the small contact area, the weight of the rearview mirror, and the heat of the sun on the tape. That was on a Peugeot Boxer.

I removed the cab light fitting, fitted a wood block to the rear put the light fitting back in.
Then fixed the rear camera viewer onto the block.

I tried everything I/we (two on tour) could think of prior to this.
It's now secure.
Peugeot boxer.

Thank you all for taking the time to reply. However, I still do not know how to get it off the "mounting block"
