The offside front drivers cabin window on my A class (Carthago C Tourer) has started getting misty inside the glass unit (its a double glazed unit). I'll post a picture below.

Does anyone know if this wil be an MOT fail (I'm sure I saw a post on this recently but can't find it).

Also, has anyone had one of thes replaced and can recommend a dealer. Our normal dealer (who are very good) have said the unit from Carthago is £740 and will take 6.5 hours to replace!!! I'm sure I could get a glass unit made up, but if professionals are quoting 6.5 hours, there's no way I'm going to attempt fitting.

Thanks for the link. It does look a bit beyond my DIY skills.

I did notice that in that post, he did say that the misting only happends in the summer. I thought, it would get worse in the winter given the higher temperature differences between inside and out. If this is the case I may live with it as it doesn't casuse a problem.

Anyone know why it only shows in the summer?

My only concern is whether it will pass the MOT. My MOT date is in the winter, so it only shows in the summer them I should be fine.

From my experience with a blown window at home was it only misted on the area the sun shone on it. If younturn the van round so it gets no sun on that side see if that cures it.

great. My mot is in December, so lack of sun should be a given :)

Would it be an MOT failure anyway? Do they just care anbout th windscreen?

If it mists around mot time put a hair dryer over it for a while and the misting will (temporarily) disappear
