Wind turbine for Campervans

I expect it makes only a few watts on even a breezy day. And down at ground level, it's really not that breezy. Might work better up a pole, but if you're going to do that, you may as well have a big impeller that captures far more area... Nope, unconvinced. Sorry.

Vertical wind turbines are generally very inefficient compared to propeller types and even those produce sod all output unless there is a howling gale blowing.
Total waste of time for a Motorhome.

You're not realy selling that Lenny.

It should generate power when you are driving if it is strong enough for 70mph winds 😁😁

I used to sit and watch the ammeter readings on our Rutland wind genny when we had the yacht. In a 25kn wind (strong, f6) it used to yield 2A (i.e. approx 25W) if we were lucky, all the while howling like a devil. The solar panels, on the other hand, used to deliver 8 x the power in direct sun, silently.

Wind genny on a MH? No thanks! Decent solar, LFP battery and B2B is all that we need.
