We go away for a month leaving 2 vans at home
Panel vans one 2012 and one 2021 both Renault masters
My previous vans were not modern and didn’t have all the gadgets modern vans have now
If for security to make it harder to nick I take of the battery when we come back will I have any Ecu problems

I can't see that you would have any problems. Better disconnected & removed rather than 4 weeks & flat when you return

Presumably alarm’s won’t work so check with insurance.

I always used to remove both my batteries for several months so they did not discharge. Leave removal for an hour after switching off and central locking so all the control units have shut down and make sure you have the radio codes.
Now lots of solar so batteries are kept topped up in situ.

Whilst in storage for 3 to 4 months of the year we always removed the batteries . Both Leisure and the engine starter . Left them on a smart trickle charge at home and fitted them when required. Not an issue. Saves the batteries going down on you and of course prevents it from being pinched too

Regards Kev

For ultimate security you might also take all the wheels off and leave the van on axle stands.

(sorry, I couldn't resist)

its actually a very good idea i have some off cut sleepers and axle stands I dont want to tempt fate but it would be tipicle to come back and find the wheel have been nicked out the back of the van
Think i will leave batterys in ,i have just remembered i bought yrs ago and put in the loft 2 very small solar panels that go in the windscreen for an engine battery so use those and park the vans down the side one in front of the other
