We spoke to Offgrid Power Solutions at the NEC last week and are thinking of going down the lithium route. We saw our dealer on a stand and mentioned possibly having work done. He said in order to keep the warranty intact, any work must be carried out by an NCC approved company.
The thought of our dealer messing with the electrics fills me with dread and would much rather let a professional do the work.
What might we be risking if we don't use NCC approved? I've read the warranty online, and the existing battery is covered for 1 year and I can't see any reference to the electrical system at all. Is the warranty worth anything anyway and should we just get the work done by OPS?
