Although there is the option of using Tesco Clubcard vouchers for Wightlink crossings we do have a Fun 10% discount code for ferry crossings around the time of the Lymington Seafood Festival Rally courtesy of Wightlink (y) This is already posted on here https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/foru...st-2018-isle-of-wight-day-trip.162355/page-10 but thought it may be of use to others too.
For those coming on the organised coach trip please wait for times to be confirmed before booking.
If & when ready to book don't forget to go to Wightlink via Quidco for possible 4.5% cashback & use discount code
SP18FUNCLU - it is working now & valid for bookings for car & foot passengers from 10th-20th August. Not tried it for motorhomes but generally cheaper to book a ferry & campsite combined deal for the Isle Of Wight.

The thing with the IoW is that Wightlink and Red Funnel know that they have a monopoly between them so whenever there's a big event on the island the ferry prices skyrocket for a week either side.

Look at crossings 10-14 days either side of this event and don't be surprised if it's 60 or 70% cheaper. Push them and they should be able to do better than 10% for you.

Try booking to take a motorhome over for the IoW Festival. It's eyewatering.

I have a brother who lives in bembridge on the Isle of Wight, they can keep it. what a dump

Hi Wombles ,if anyone thinking of coming over with their motorhome's , it's best to book through either the C&CC or the C&MC ,they get 50% off prices.

Did mention above that it's expensive for motorhome crossings so better to look at campsite deals but foot (&bike) passenger charges look pretty static if booked far enough in advance - with discount it will be as low as £10.89 return so not bad for two forty minute boat trips in August & some will use their Tesco Clubcard vouchers so even better value. The Seafood Festival is in Lymington so just a short walk away from the rally field but many of us are extending our stay & going for a day trip to the Isle Of Wight too plus @Mr Chrysalis has kindly agreed to organise a coach trip around the island - will be good to have a look around to see if it suits an Isle Of Wight rally another time :)

Thank you - that's handy for anyone wanting to take a motorhome over (y) We almost booked one of the combined campsite & ferry deals a while ago as worked out cheaper than we could get the ferries even with C&MC discount but deals are constantly changing so always worth shopping around. Know some clubs get excellent rally deals outside peak season so something we may be looking at :)

UPDATE - when I searched online in November & emailed Wightlink the best discount on foot passenger fares was 10% via AA & C&CC but looks like they have now increased that to 15% so have emailed Wightlink to ask them to increase the discount for the above Fun code.
If anyone is a Blue Badge holder then there is 25% discount for foot passengers already in place via the website http://www.wightlink.co.uk/go/discounts/offer/up-to-25-discount-for-blue-badge-holders/

Second that just booked March £85 return for 8m lymington to Yarmouth.
With c&cc

Bump - as @Badknee mentioned now might be the time to consider booking the ferry & especially for those going on the coach trip (y)
