Next month we are off to Spain for 6 weeks. We have always got by for emails/ web searches with hotspotting to our mobile phones! However, with the limits set by O2 to 25gb per month we may find this limit insufficient for streaming Nowtv/Sky Sports+.

Has anyone any idea for best (low cost) wifi option and would a

FALCON – 4G LTE COMBO DELUXE 150 Mbit Outdoor Antenna & Router - be suitable for our needs.

Hello

It’s not the equipment/hardware that appears to be your issue, it’s the amount of data you need.

Its a problem for everyone and you either need to get a local SIM eSIM or get a tariff from the UK which allows more roaming data. Popit is great and you can have 100Gb for £25. It’s a phone data SIM, so it will (may) have some shaping on your traffic.

The problem with getting a SIM is that most UK phones only take one SIM, so you'd have to take your existing SIM out, and people can't contact you by phone. That's why a lot of people go for a router like the Falcon, or a Mifi unit if you're going to a strong signal area. But you'll need a SIM to go in the Falcon or Mifi unit, like the ones Carpmart mentions.

You can then hotspot your devices for streaming. Not only that but you can hotspot your phones to it, and use WhatsApp or Wifi Calling so you don't have to use your limited phone data for calls to people you know.

Used to take the TV for Ann and I was usually able to tune in stations via aerial. Most are in the local language but not all, also some are in English with foreign subtitles 👌
The Paramount film channel was usually good, and we used to get that in Benidorm. This was 3+ years ago don't bother with a TV now, Fun and FB are more entertaining 🥳😊
