Swift Bessacarr 442
Help please from someone who knows about these things.
I am going to fit WiFi with a Poynting aerial to my Bessacarr 442. The most convenient place is the side with the awning. The awning is sunk into the roof so would be below the bottom of the aerial. Do you think the awning metal content would interfere with the WiFi signal.

I don't think it should pose a problem, other experts will be along but you could, if you have not yet done so, contact Poynting directly with your question: sales-europe@poynting.tech

Also, be helpful to know what aerial specifically...

Poynting asked for a photo to confirm that the arial would be above the level of the awning, which it is, so ok to fit on this side of the van.
The reason I wanted it that side was because there is a 12 v socket just below the lockers which made it really convenient.
Poynting were the best firm I've dealt with in a long time as far as customer service is concerned.

Interesting that they said that on the side of the van was acceptable. Unless the antenna is facing the transmitter all the time obviously dependant on how you park up, I would have thought you would lose a lot of signal if it wasn't.

I don’t think it’s the side of the van , more that side of the roof.
