I'm a newbie
Any Funsters had a 5G Ready Flex Wi-Fi fitted professionally in their motorhome? If so, can you still stream in France and Spain.
We previously had Oyster satellite in our previous motorhome but are wondering if Wi-Fi, is now a better choice.
Many thanks for any suggestions.

yes you can stream in Europe if you've enough data in your package and a reliable strong phone signal.
However its not guaranteed to work everywhere as you often get blank spots in some rural parts

We are new to all of this MoHo malarkey, but I have just kitted our van with a TP Link 4G M7350 MiFi router (72€) with a full roaming 200Gb SIM card at £20 per month sent directly from RWG Mobile in South Wales. Popped the SIM into the router and it fired up immediately. The last couple of weeks we have been cruising about our rural part of France and the combination is working a treat. The TV in the van wasn't of the smart variety, so an Amazon Fire TV stick at less than 45€ has put that right. I already subscribe to ExpressVPN, so downloading that onto the Fire TV stick has given complete flexibility on geo-location without loss of speed.

Having read that routers often need an antenna, I am pleased to report that this wonderful piece of kit has worked perfectly well when placed anywhere in the van. Today we chose a location for lunch after consulting the 4G map of the area and in what should have been a dead spot, a Speedtest showed a 25Mb download with a laptop, 2 phones and the TV linked.

In my experience 4G coverage in France and Spain has been excellent, with better coverage then in the UK, I was using a Tesco mobile unlimited sim.

that wasn't my experience , when we were following the TDF this year we found many mountain roads and valleys had coverage but not good enough to stream live TV but ok for calls and texts
Thankfully satellite saved the day

Occasionally you might need to manually select a network whilst roaming, I only had to do that once on my trip, you might find a strong 3G signal will stream better then a weak 4G signal.

Hi GIZMO1020 I purchased motorhome WiFi 5g flex ready system and installed myself it works really well I purchase a Tiekom data sim and it has always performed well the new one has a 200gb roaming allowance so able to use in Portugal and France in fact any Eu country and the UK. Bye the way I removed our Oyster V dish set up as it kept breaking down after many repairs we gave up and have no regrets WiFi is as good and you don’t have a dish to worry about if the wind gets up.😊
here are details of sim if you are interested Just drop Camino an email.
