Why don't Fiat Ducato's (2010) have an auxiliary position on ignition switch like most cars do because even though it has a constant live connection to radio multi plug my head unit will only come on with ignition on, I was feeding both connection via a constant live but (I think ) the bluetooth was hyper sensitive and when ever I walked past it triggered the head unit to start up and have had those at home phoning me to say its blaring out music.
Not a major problem just wondered why no auxiliary?
I will have to fit a diode in ignition live feed so I can put a switched constant live connection back in ( tried it lit up dashboard), just means we cannot have radio on with engine off, I was same with Ipad thingy that had sat nav/reversing cam. when we got it running off a cigarette lighter plug.

Odd, isn't it. The 2021 model doesn't have one either...

I just bought one of these switches to mount on the dash

Amazon product ASIN B09KM3GVN1
I already have a feed from the leisure battery behind the stereo, so I am going to rig the switch as

position 1 = vehicle battery, on with ignition
position 2 = leisure battery

Still actually got to get around to wiring it though :)

cheers,

Robin

Heh, exactly the same here - have the same switch, but it’s still ‘on the list’ 😄

It did recently occur to me that as we have a battery master fitted to trickle charge the engine battery, maybe we need not bother and can just override the switched live and run from the engine battery as you say.
