Who's having Christmas in the MH?

We head off today for a Christmas break...so who else is spending this festive period in their Motorhome, we know Peavy has his wheels rolling, but it would be nice to hear others plans, where you go, as individuals or grouping up with like minded friends. We have no plans that cannot change, but no doubt our time will be spent both alone or in the company of strangers from various countries...Happy Christmas all..

Christmas in Suffolk on the coast so cold and windy, although today the sun is arriving and it’s dry!

Off to Cirencester for Xmas in the van, this’ll be our 3rd Xmas stay there and really looking forward to it.

Christmas on a CL near Bolton to be near my mum's to spend christmas visiting her then a night in Cheshire to catch up with my niece and then 4 nights on the Fife coast for haggis suppers, hogmanay and bracing air

We're not this year, but we did spend Christmas in the van last year.

It was still just a panel van but had solar panels, batteries, and a diesel heater.

A mattress on the floor, duvet and pillows. A 'briefcase' style gas cooker and a portable toilet were the other additions.

It also had the other festive essentials. A single piece of tinsel, some bunting and a couple of strings of battery operated lights.

There was something beautifully minimalistic about it and we had a fantastic time.

Cirencester CAMC Club site. Christmas dinner will be at a local hotel/restaurant called the fleece.

if I still had my van I would most certainly be away in it, but I gifted it to my daughter after covid..

We're off on Monday 23rd and returning on January 2nd.
10 nights at a beachside site in Port Eynon, The Gower, Wales.
2 pubs within a couple of hundred yards, beach 100 yards and lovely scenery.

We have 23 and 24 in Bath then to Cirencester for Christmas Day. We will eat our duck in the van (can't afford the Fleece!!). Next day we go to North Yorks to see my family. Will look out for Funsters at C'cester!

Not Christmas but New Year.

28th December heading to Tencreek for NYE in Looe
2nd January two nights at Longleat, they have a fabulous light show until the 5th and you can hear the lions roaring when in bed (apparently).

Yep, heading off from home to just north of Aguilas for Christmas Day and Boxing Day, before heading down the coast to Algeciras for our sailing to Morocco on 12th Jan

We’re currently in Lorca Spain and will be heading to just outside Murcia for Xmas, just have to find a turkey that fits in our small Air fryer . Hopefully eat it sitting outside

Well, nearly. We will use the camper as an extra bedroom at our son's overnight on the 27th.

That is if I manage to complete the major re-wire in time!

We take ours to our daughters each year and use it as our bedroom, they have a five bed bungalow but having our own bedroom away from the kids is great.

but going by normal shopping timings for my wife Xmas presents
which hasn’t happened as of yet .

We were planning to go away for a few days but drs appointment for Jac was cancelled last week & new one is 26th December

It’s the opposite for us, we are having a break (strangely it actually feels like a holiday) back in the UK for a family Christmas; month five of the tour resumes on the 3rd Jan when we return to Alicante and pick up the motorhome again!

We are waiting to see what the weather forecast is! If it is dryish and not too windy, we will pack the van and go to Bodmin Moor for Christmas Day because this year will be the first for many years when we will be on our own.
