At 76 I'm tired of wriggling into minute spaces to access any electrical fault, as when I try to follow the wiring I always end up at the magic control box electronic system in our Hymer, which for me is a brick wall.

Apart from down sizing with our next van I want to go back to a system that features fuses, wires and junction boxes that you can test with a meter instead of the magic box where all solid srate relays live. Our old 2008 Buccaneer caravan had old style wiring wiring and accessible fuses where you could trace a fault with a meter or you could add accessories to a junction box. So, when we downsize which year vehicle would we need to find to have an old fashioned wiring system?

Possibly consider a self build or get a custom one made for you. You will get a more modern vehicle and traditional wiring?

Just a thought.
