Hi

I've just about cleaned my van out, Citroen Relay L3H2, and looking at all the next few step. I'm really stuck on windows.
Seitz S4 windows seem practical, interior blinds and fly screen and seem easy to fit...but you cant get any interesting colour interiors and THAT PRICE (ouch) I need at least 2 x 1000mm X 450mm and were talking close to £900 for the pair; there is no way I'd by another I'd rather walk around with a miners helmet on!
The other kind are the bonded with sliding doors and tinted for £345 for both front sides...thats a hell of a saving. I also saw one site what has the same but for front to back including barn doors for just over £700.
https://www.vanpimps.co.uk/product/...tinted-windows-free-fitting-kit-worth-150-00/
Thats the link incase someone wants to look.
Are the Seitz windows worth the extra money, are the bonded windows good enough?

Any opinions welcome (except from people with a magical third eye, they just scare me)

The van pimps windows are glass, so not double glazed & cold, also no blinds or screens. I'd go with the caravan breaker idea.

All depends on your preference:) Seitz will make your van look/be more professional / easier to use .... Both O'Leary and Magnum's sell Seitz a bit cheaper (compare) than most other places but not that much cheaper.
The glass window type are a lot cheaper and also look good but interior wise you need curtains or blinds adding to price so savings may not be that much different.
Any windows fitted behind the sliding door need to be sliding type not push out ;) they cost even more

For my PVC, I looked at the Seizt type of windows and thought they looked bloody awful! As others have said, the Seizt are much better for insulation and have fitted blinds & fly-screens.

I went for the bonded glass solution with Van-X curtains. I opted for the o/s (kitchen in my van) window to have a sliding opener but not the n/s - with hindsight, I should have gone for both openers. But, generally very pleased with my choice.

Try O'Leary.
I noticed O'Leary was doing a 1000 x 550 for £335 but thats still double
Are there any makes of windows that have blinds and flyscreens but dont have the inner cream / white casing that seitz have? just something I can board over so I can have matched decor?
I wanted to go with light grey/smoke for the walled carpeted areas, a medium grey for the walls and Walnut for the woodwork. I then dont want cream looking surrounds around my windows; see what I mean?

Poly_vision ? I also think Seitz do inners can be light grey
Try Googling MH/caravan windows(y)
If you think windows are dear wait until you start pricing up light weight furniture ply at £85 ISH to £150 ISH a sheet  you will need 9/10 sheet for a fiat/transit size van.
I have about 25 pear wood colour doors inc handles out of a twin wheeled caravan for sale £250 Ono and lots of bits inc french bed base, several types of flooring,a full size cooker and lots of other bits if you are interested :)

Cheers for the pic.
I can see it being colder in the cooler months but have you found it ok on the warmer days, I'm saying this due to the tinting. Also how did you finish the inside? Curtains loose, on rails or a recessed blind and screen?
Tell me, tell me, tell me .....lol

I've just realised I said a totally British thing there. I described the colder periods as months and warmer periods as days.... Nothing like British weather :)

My van is grey so gets warmer than a white one, but it has never been a problem. I use an insulated screen cover which helps, as does the tint. Being a PVC it has 5 doors, so opening all means it cools quickly. I've used it during a heatwave in Slovenia and have not normally done more than open the sliding window by the kitchen

If it's cold, when on EHU, I have a small 700w oil filled radiator and normally have it on a very low setting. For non EHU, I have the Wallas XC duo Hob/Heater which works really well (cooks. heats & runs off diesel from the tank (so no gas/gas bottles/gas alarm needed)

I sleep with my head near the rear barn doors & thought about a thermal curtain over them, but I have not bothered - not required.

Pics below for the interior/curtains (I've also put i a pic of one of my girlfriends - 1972 Honda race bike!)

Firstly love the look of the van. I'm wanting a Grey is look but slightly darker wood (hope it looks as nice as yours). Got to say though I did laugh out loud ehn I saw the bike in the last pic, wasn't expecting that!

Never heard of water printing, what is it and where can you get it done?

The van was designed to carry motorbikes - hence the diesel cooker/heater, I can cook & sleep in the van with motorbike in situ (it's a platonic relationship - honest!) it also has room for my paraglider, snowboard, longboard & unicycle....

I've heard if you play a windows installation disc backwards
it plays dark satanic ritual music that can evoke all evil spirits, bring you bad luck and even death
Worse still, play it the right way and it installs Windows:Eeek::Eeek::Eeek::Eeek:
